Krafton Co., Ltd. And Microsoft And Global Collaboration
Krafton Co., Ltd. (CEO Chang-han Kim, hereinafter Krafton) announced today (7th) that they will cooperate with Microsoft (Microsoft, hereinafter referred to as Microsoft) to strengthen the privacy and security of their games.
Krafton and its subsidiaries will apply Microsoft’s cloud platform Azure (Azure) service to games they directly service. This includes PLAYERUNKNOWN’S BATTLEGROUNDS ( PUBG ) PC and console, and PUBG MOBILE .
Krafton decided to apply Microsoft’s Azure, which can comply with the most complex regulations with state-of-the-art security, to make privacy and information security a top priority. Azure supports a number of multiplayer games. In the future, through this collaboration, it will be possible to strengthen compliance with the personal information protection laws and the applicable laws of related software.
For improved data security, Krafton, along with Microsoft, plans to introduce a process where Krafton and its subsidiaries regularly inspect and verify that the user information stored in the region where the game service is operated meets all relevant requirements.
