Krafton Co., Ltd. And Microsoft And Global Collaboration​


Krafton Co., Ltd. (CEO Chang-han Kim, hereinafter Krafton) announced today (7th) that they will cooperate with Microsoft (Microsoft, hereinafter referred to as Microsoft) to strengthen the privacy and security of their games.

Krafton and its subsidiaries will apply Microsoft’s cloud platform Azure (Azure) service to games they directly service. This includes PLAYERUNKNOWN’S BATTLEGROUNDS ( PUBG ) PC and console, and PUBG MOBILE .

Krafton decided to apply Microsoft’s Azure, which can comply with the most complex regulations with state-of-the-art security, to make privacy and information security a top priority. Azure supports a number of multiplayer games. In the future, through this collaboration, it will be possible to strengthen compliance with the personal information protection laws and the applicable laws of related software.

For improved data security, Krafton, along with Microsoft, plans to introduce a process where Krafton and its subsidiaries regularly inspect and verify that the user information stored in the region where the game service is operated meets all relevant requirements.

Azure is Microsoft’s public cloud computing service that helps game makers develop, run, and grow games on a global scale. ALSO READ -:MICROMAX COMEBACK 

  • Back in September, the Government of India (GOI) had banned PUBG Mobile and PUBG Mobile Lite, alongside 116 other mobile applications of Chinese origins. These apps were prohibited under Section 69A of the Information Technology Act 2009.
  • Immediately after this suspension, there was a lot of speculation regarding when PUBG Mobile would make a return. It was first linked to telecommunication giant Jio, and then Airtel. But none of these claims proved
